Scarred

Just came back from my Hall production, Scarred. Was quite an enjoyable one, other than the ending which I felt was a bit abrupt. Should have ended with something impact. Anyway, well done to the production crews I must say. Great job done.

And special thanks to td for the lift and sparing his time for me. Haha.

School's starting on Monday. 2 tests and 2 labs await me. It is time to put down the new year mood and prepare for the work waiting for me.

I don't know how some of you feel, but as I advances in my Engin course, it just gets more sian. I am sure I am not alone. But I would still want to enjoy my last year of education before I graduate. That's probably the last time I would be a student. So, work hard and play hard. My new year's resolution.

Lazy

Feeling lazy lately. Yes, I know it is new year mood. Gives me the excuse to slack a little bit.

Not wanting to do anything. Just cannot bring myself to open that file and take out the notes to read. You just think of what programs there are ahead for you and whether anyone would be free for mahjong.

Get a hold of yourself. Time to get back to work.

CNY 2007

Happy New Year to all.

Kinda feeling bored now, the excitement and anticipation of the coming year seems to be not as intense as before. When you get older, these feelings tend to set in. Among all the work, stress, pressure, it would be nice to just relax and enjoy the joyous season.

Going to relative houses don't seem to interest me now. Ang baos? Haha.. can earn the money myself. But it is always nice to see them and know how they are doing.

Received many CNY greeting messages, a few unexpected ones and the last one was really nice.

Jialat, no CNY mood yet. Maybe after a good sleep?

Valentine's day 2007

Today is a special day. I shall tell a special story about this guy call xiao xin.

Xiao xin is 24 this year. He is born in the year of pig and this year is the year of pig. Some says those born in the year of pig Fan Tai Shui this year. What says you?

Anyway, xiao xin has 2 girlfriends before. And Valentine's day happens to occur when he is attached. I mean his "attachment" for the past relationships were all around half a year duration. V day just happens to fall during this period.

Now, his first girlfriend is call Alice. They were secondary school classmates. Initially, xiao xin finds Alice quite irritating. She is always bullying him. But he has a big heart, always being forgiving and helping her in her work. Finally after O levels, she realised how wonderful he is and fell in love with him. All right I know there will be people who disagree, so let me make it this way. Both have feelings for each other. Happy?

On the V day of 2000, (yes 7 years back), xiao xin was sick. He still dragged himself out of the bed and went to meet Alice. They did not have dinner together. He was quite sick then. Just an exchange of presents and a bit of chatting. Nothing special. Nothing fanciful. Xiao xin regretted. He wanted to say sorry to Alice for not making it a memorable one. And that's the only one they had together.

On a lighter note, xiao xin is glad that they are still very good friends now. He is happy that Alice has found her happiness and he wishes her all the best in her Wonderland.

Yet another V day, this time more recent, in the year 2006. The girl's name is Diana. They met at a common friend's party. They were playing mahjong together. Some says it was love at first sight, but I think it was more of love at first "pong". Now boys and gals, gambling is bad, so please do not think that you are xiao xin: winning money and gals' hearts. You got to have what it takes... I mean the money to play mahjong in the first place. Anyway, please don't gamble otherwise you will end up like trixie who just lost money. See her link at the side.

V day was a mixed feeling kind of date for both of them. Trouble has been brewing but luckily the day went quite well. That was the first time xiao xin actually put it so much effort to prepare for V day. Things still went downhill after that. A pity, but the next V day to come will only get better.

He is glad that he don't have to do anything this year because he simply don't have the time for it. And the money as well.

And I am glad that he only has 2 girlfriends, because I am getting tired of typing.

Hectic week

Busy week.. 2 labs this week and the reports due next week. 2 more tests coming on Valentine's day. Project meeting next week. Got to do all this before the mid term break. New year is coming, don't wanna owe anything.

Thanks jo for the shirts. Unfortunately, the sizes are either too big or too small. However, I can't still wear them just that it is not fitting. Celebrated huien's birthday in hall.. so this is how they celebrate in hall.. haha interesting. Thanks ks for the shirt as well. Suddenly I have got a few more shirts after losing one. Hmmm.. maybe it is not a bad idea to lose one after all. Kidding.

I really think that the lift in the central library sucks. It is so freaking small. And it is suppose to ease the trouble of climbing the stairs, but how many can squeeze in at any one time? Can someone please tell them to design a bigger lift? There are lots of space around the area. I climb the stairs most of the time though. It is faster sometimes.

No mood to blog.. wait till valentine's day.. when my tests are over, I will write an interesting entry.

Stolen!

My Temasek Hall IHG shirt is stolen! Left it to dry in the laundry area on sat and when I return on mon, all my clothes were there except the IHG shirt.

Hmm.. what does this tell? My other clothings are probably worthless? I think it is because IHG shirt is a common shirt in my hall so even if someone took it, the person would not be found out easily. Come on, I only know there is a tiny brown stain on the shirt and I think it is not visible unless you take a really close look. Am I suppose to scrutinize every one wearing the shirt from now on? Haha.. don't think that's an good idea.

Well the shirt is free but it is the only one hall shirt which I had from playing badminton for TH. Can someone please spare one for me?

Office 2007

I am not sure how many of you actually uses office 2007. The interface of the new office tools has changed quite a bit, as you can see below.


I am sorry if it is a bit too small. Anyway, it is futuristic. But you need to get use to the buttons and how to find your tools around.

An advice for those who uses, or you would probably have noticed by now, that it is better to save your file as an older version of office. Obviously, not many people uses office 2007 yet, so you risk not being able to open your files in another computer.

I am also quite looking forward to trying out vista. However, I don't think I will install it in my computer, at least not in the near future. It is better to let the consumers try out and see their reviews about it. I am sure there will be changes or upgrades to the software. No harm waiting for a little while more.

All right, time to sleep.

Ippt

Just did my ippt. As expected, I got a silver. Same timing, same kind of score (30/30).

But I just can't get gold, rather I am too lazy to train for it.

But it feels good to know that I am still able to at least maintain my fitness.

Maybe if I am really short of money, I will train for gold... we shall see.

Slacking in my room after a workout is definitely relaxing. I deserve it I guess. My own kind of reward.

All right, going to pack my stuffs for home.

Feeling: satisfying
