attention and many other unnecessary entities of life. I seek to find a simple life, uncomplicated
yet meaningful. A lot more important elements of life are waiting to be discovered. Live your life to the fullest.

A Huge Bomb
A Huge Bomb I have just been thrown a big bomb. I applied for a scholarship from a clan (not the SMP program I told some of you) under the "advice" of my dad. I forgot how much it is. A one lump sum of maybe 1K? Anyway, the person in charge told me that they would like me to give a "thank you speech" on that night. The best thing is it has to be in mandarin. This is really GREAT. First of all, I don't really like to give this kind of public speech, especially with so many people looking at you. Secondly, I am an engineer to be, asking me to write a speech is really not my forte. Lastly, it has to be done in mandarin which I can faintly recall the last time I actually wrote an essay in chinese. Now, I have to go search for a chinese software to start typing. I also need to find out the people I need to thank, and the common terms used in this kind of speech. About 3 minutes long. Oh man, how am I going to crap this thingy out? I won't say my chinese is that bad, just rusty. However, I would appreciate anyone who has this kind of relevant experience to come forward and give me a helping hand. TOP OF PAGE |
