In this sophisticated world, one often finds oneself in a struggle with power, fame, money, attention and many other unnecessary entities of life. I seek to find a simple life, uncomplicated yet meaningful. A lot more important elements of life are waiting to be discovered. Live your life to the fullest.

Europe 2008 - Verona

Next stop, Vernoa. Home to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Verona is a city and provincial capital in Veneto, Northern Italy. The ancient town of verona and the center of the modern era are in a loop of the Adige River near Lake Garda. Because of this position, the areas saw regular floodings until 1956, when the Mori-Torbole tunnel was constructed, providing 500 cubic meters of discharge from the Adige river to Lake Garda when there was danger of flooding. The tunnel reduced the risk of flooding from once every seventy years to once every two centuries. Geographic history of Verona is plains and small mountain areas.

There is a river in Verona too. But I think the one in Frankfurt is still the best.

I am posing on the bridge. The coke and the pizza(in my stomach) is the cheap lunch we got ourselves. Think it is about 5 euros for the set. That's 10 SGD. But a normal dinner will usually cost me 10 odd euros!

The sun is strong. I can barely open my eyes. Wait, or has this been the case all these while. Oh cheeses and crackers, I cannot believe this.

I forgot if this is in a castle or museum. Just what are you doing pam! You are going to wake all of them up!

This was taken at their arena, some sort of a mini colosseum. I guess they are preparing for some opera or play.

This is Juliet's house. It is amazing how they can just convert a house and claim that it is Juliet's house, collecting money from the many visitors who will pay just to get some luck (you will know later).

This is the luck I am talking about. It was rumored that whoever touches Juliet's boobs will have an extra-ordinary luck in their love life. Let's just see what pam got herself into.

We went to Romeo's house too. But it was closed.

So sad, I would love to touch him(I hope it is not down there!), if there is any statue of him, and if it will bring luck too.

Next we went to some tower to see the view of the whole town.

Me acting cool again. Actually I was thinking...

..about what pose I should make.

A night view of the photo. We didn't know the bus services end so early. We have to walk 30 minutes back to our hostel in the end.

Next entry will be on Venice!
