Dinner at Absolute Haven

Went for dinner at Absolute Haven on Friday night. Click here to read more about the restaurant.

I must first apologise for the pictures taken using my phone camera. They really sucks.

This was the menu they served:

The first dish was...

Didn't really enjoy it. I thought it was unique but not so tasty. After having eaten at Taos, I kind of expected more since this restaurant has a high rating as well.

The second dish was..

The lamb linguine was not a lot but decent enough to keep us happy for a while..

I must comment that the service was quite good, not forgetting the nice ambience of the tiny restaurant. Dishes were served one after another with quite a long interval in between. I guess it was meant for couples to have small talks in between while digesting the food and anticipation of what's next to come.

Next up, the main dish..

The beef was nice, but the sauce that accompanies it was not too much for my liking although it tastes unique as well. Guess I am not so much an adventurous person.

The prawn was a bit cold if I really have to be particular.

Therefore, so far, the food didn't really impress me a lot.

Lastly, the dessert..

This was quite similar to the starter of Taos, but the latter really is much nicer.

At the end of the dinner...

A complimentary rose for the lady.

The pictures taken do not really look so nice, but the food was still all right I promise. It might be because it was a special occasion(busy busy) and hence the drop in standard of the food.

Do try out their usual menu on other days if you are interested.

Overall, a nice, romantic, quiet place to go to for dinner with a budget of less than $50 per pax. It will definitely be cheaper on normal days.

My phone's camera really sucks big time.
